Meet our Team

Christopher Lane, the owner of Laurier Optical-Kemptville, is a dedicated professional in the field of opticianry. Originally from Morrisburg, Ontario, Chris graduated with Honours from the Georgian College Opticianry program in 1992. He obtained his license as a Registered Optician and Contact Lens fitter in 1993 from the College of Opticians.

Since 1993, Chris has been an integral part of Laurier Optical, showcasing his expertise and commitment to the optical industry. In 2000, he took the significant step of purchasing the Laurier Optical-Kemptville location, further solidifying his position in the field.

Outside of his professional life, Chris loves cooking, especially firing up his smoker and experimenting with BBQ. He also enjoys  spending peaceful moments at the family cottage with his dog. Chris is also known to be very fussy and strives for perfection. His motto is "always do the best job you can!"

Leah started with Laurier Optical in Kemptville when the store opened in 1997 as the local representative.  Over her two decades with the company, Leah has learned how to best serve the residents.  With brutal honesty, she strives to ensure that each client walks away looking and feeling their absolute best.  As the Assistant Manager, Leah oversees every aspect of the Kemptville location's operations, from managing orders to being a trusted sales guide, making sure each person leaves with a pair that not only fits their face but also complements their personality and lifestyle.

Being from the Kemptville area, Leah loves to see the returning clients that she has established a relationship with and ensuring their continued satisfaction with their eye care needs.  Our clients are our best form of advertising.  Helping them present their best face to the world, knowing they are not only seeing well, but looking amazing is her reward.

 Welcome to Laurier Optical with Libby - Your Vision, Our Passion!  As a lab technician and sales consultant, Libby understands the importance of clear communication and honesty when choosing your eyewear and lenses.  She recognizes everyone is on their own journey, and works hard to integrate a patients' lifestyle with the right frame and lens choices.  Like her colleagues, true satisfaction is when a customer leaves with a smile on their face as this is our goal!! 

 For the past ten years, Sara has been an invaluable member of our team, bringing a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for customer service.
